I have left the diaspora. On Sunday, November 1st at 11:00 I’ll be reading and signing Moonshot at the Texas Book Festival in Austin. It’s a great festival — with much better barbeque than the Brooklyn Book Festival, it has to be said — and it’s great to be part of it this year. The Festival web site is here, and the specifics on my reading are here. Come on by!

I am stalking you on your blog to find out if your haggling worked. Did you score a snazzy hat? I can't stand the suspense.
Hello, Kari! It was good to meet you at the festival! The answer to your question is yes. I got the hat. But the kind woman at the booth pointed out to me that the hats were cheaper than the shirts, so the trade wasn't half as deft as I thought it might be. This is why I don’t work in sales.
